How to Wear Bright Colours: The Hot Trend this Spring
We all know how important colour is. We’ve heard why hospital rooms are green and why you should paint your dining room red. The world is not black and white; we celebrate colour in our backyards, homes and even on our plates everyday and yet many of us find it difficult to embrace colour in our own closets.
It’s easy to get caught in the same old style rut, creating a daily uniform of safe colours. But spring is a time of renewal and life, and nothing speaks to rebirth as much as this season’s blossoming colour palette. Colour is not, nor should be, restricted to women. In fact, colour can enhance masculinity by adding depth and style as well as approachability.
It is a subtle pop of colour that makes the difference; it shouldn’t be shocking or head-to-toe, but added in a way that you are comfortable with and looks appropriate. An orange shirt with denim, a yellow and pink tie, a lime pocket square or a turquoise sportshirt may move you outside of your colour comfort zone but it is guaranteed to have you garnering compliments before you even make it out the door.
