In 1961, under the partnership of Sean Garvey and John Willmott, Garvey & Willmott Men’s Shops were born. Launching their flagship location at 183 Lakeshore Road East on Oakville’s high street, Garvey & Willmott would eventually become Garvey’s Fine Men’s Wear when John went out on his own to pursue other opportunities.

In 2006, after a lifetime of hard work Sean Garvey surprised everyone and retired from the trade and sold the business to Harold and Yvonne Lenfesty. A long time globe trotter, entrepreneur, and customer of Sean’s, Harold had found roots in Oakville and decided it was finally time to settle down. Under Harold and Yvonne’s stewardship, Garvey’s is proud to continue the legacy of the independent menswear store. Still a family owned and operated business, Garvey’s Fine Men’s Wear is run today by their daughter, Andrea Lenfesty along with longtime General Manager, Bill Wade and the team of seasoned professionals who we invite you to learn more about under our “Meet the Stylists” section.

Celebrating our 50th year in business, Garvey’s has come to be known for our exceptional customer service and extensive selection of high quality clothing and on-site tailoring.
